Submittals are the formal review of products, materials, and shop drawings against the specifications before anything is fabricated or installed. Syntecton tracks each submittal through its review cycle, supports grouping into packages, and records every reviewer action.

Create a submittal

01

Open Submittals and create

Go to Field Execution → Submittals and click New Submittal. Choose the type — Product Data, Shop Drawing, Sample, etc.
02

Add details and the responsible sub

Enter the title, spec section, and the responsible contractor.
03

Group into a package (optional)

Related submittals can be bundled into a Submittal Package.
04

Assign reviewers and start the cycle

Add reviewers (typically the architect/engineer) and submit.
05

Handle resubmittals

If a reviewer requests changes, create a revision.
06

Distribute the approved set

Once approved, distribute to the field and responsible contractor.

Troubleshooting
